DESCRIPTION
A morphologically striking multimineral combination specimen from the world‑renowned Stantërg (Stan Terg) Mine in the Trepča complex, Kosovo. This piece showcases the classic mineralisation Trepča is famous for, featuring well‑formed galena crystals, lustrous sphalerite, brassy pyrite, and a beautifully preserved pyrite‑after‑pyrrhotite pseudomorph, all accented by delicate needle quartz.
The galena displays sharp, molten‑habit geometry, contrasting perfectly with the dark sphalerite and golden pyrite. The pyrite‑after‑pyrrhotite adds exceptional structural interest, retaining the original pyrrhotite crystal form while presenting the bright metallic sheen of pyrite — a combination highly prized by collectors. Fine quartz needles complete the aesthetic, giving the specimen depth, sparkle, and balance.
